Garment Care
Technical fabrics need specific care to perform well over time. Follow these guidelines and your gear will last seasons.
General
- Wash inside out. Reduces friction on prints and outer surfaces.
- Wash with similar colours. Cold cycles only — 30°C maximum.
- Skip the softener. Fabric softener clogs technical fibres and reduces wicking performance.
- Air dry. No tumble drying. Heat damages elastane and performance fabrics.
- Don't iron. Heat damages technical prints and bonded seams.
Activewear & tech fabrics
Wash promptly after training — sweat breaks down elastane over time. Use a technical detergent or mild powder detergent. Skip the dryer entirely.
Hoodies & sweats
Heavy cotton loopback can be washed normally on cold. Air dry flat to maintain shape and prevent shrinkage. Spot-clean small marks rather than full washes when possible.
Compression gear
Hand wash or use a delicate cycle in a mesh laundry bag. Aggressive washing destroys compression fibres faster than anything else.
Outerwear & shells
Wash technical shells separately with a technical detergent. Reapply DWR (durable water repellent) treatment every 12-18 months for waterproof shells.
Wash less when possible
Air things out after training instead of washing every time. Hoodies and outerwear rarely need full washes — you'll get years more wear by washing less.
